Glam 02

Materials:
- Black/Gold Nail Polish
- Clear Tape

How To:
Apply black and let it dry. Use tape to cover the black, in such a way that a triangle design will be painted on the Lunula side of the nail. Apply gold polish, let it dry and remove the tape. Good Luck and Have Fun ♥. P.S. I didn’t have clear tape, so the edges of the triangle are not as defined. D: I also busted my nail on my middle finger t-t.

NAIL CARE:

Hangnails: How to avoid them

WHAT IS A HANGNAIL?
Hangnails are frustrating, annoying and ugly to look at. It is basically that little piece of dry skin that has ripped out and likes to stay right beside your nail. We all dread this little piece of skin and when we attempt to pull it out…it hurts! However, don’t give into biting or pulling them out, you’re only giving yourself a habitat for bacteria and you wouldn’t want that.

HOW TO TREAT IT
The reason why this little critter appears is because that area of skin is dry. So the best method to cure this is to hydrate your lovely skin! You can either use thick creams or oils but I prefer using oils since they do the job quicker and the skin will absorb them deep into their pores. When applying the oil, make sure to massage the nail and the skin around it so the whole area is affected. Keep doing this for at least five days for good results and after those five days, you can show off your soft skin to everyone and make them jealous.

THE TYPE OF OIL TO USE
Vitamin E oils, Almond Oils, Jojoba Oils, and/or Emu Oils. Some, if not all, can be found in your local drug store.

Have fun with your soft skin :)

P.S.Hangnails are also known in colloquial British English as stepmother’s blessings. - Wikipedia

Chinese Characters

Materials:
- Gold Base Coat
- Black Fine Line

How To:
Apply the gold base coat and wait till it dries. Using the black fine line, calligraph different Chinese characters onto each nail. I only know some which are the ones shown so it’s not very…intricate (lol). Google the characters if you want a more “detailed” nail art :). Finish it off with a top coat. Good luck and Have fun <3.

Piano

Materials:
- Black/White Base Coat
- Black Fine Line

How To:
Apply at least two coats of black in order to eliminate the lacquer from phasing through. Wait for the lacquer to dry before applying two coats of white on half of your nail, therefore covering the black. Once the white dries, use a fine brush to apply black lines onto the nail, start from the black area and quickly draw lines towards the tip of the nail. For the second set of keys, do the same technique but just stop halfway. Finish it off with a top coat. Good luck and Have fun <3

And Everything Nice

Materials:
- Pink/White Base Coat
- Glitter Coat

How To:
Apply one coat of pink lacquer and with your white base, dab 5 dots around the center to make a “flower” image. Apply glitter coat when it dries. Finish it off with a top coat. Good luck and Have fun <3

Abstract “what the fuck ever”

Materials:
- Red/Silver Base
- Silver Fine Line

How To:
Apply a red coat (I did it twice here) and let it dry. French nails those silver in, I use more than one coat on the silver to let it glitter more. Then just draw abstract lines and dots with the silver fine line, starting from the top right. It was quick and I had do stick with my “I nail art every week” code, lol. Good Luck and Have Fun ♥

Can’t catch em all

Materials:
- Black/Red/Teal/Green/White/Green Base
- Black/Red/Yellow Fine Line

How To:
Thumb: White base, let it dry. Color half of the nail with the red base, cover the transition with a black fine line and use the black base coat to make a large dot in the center and the white base for a smaller dot.

Index: White base, let it dry. Use the red fine line to do exactly the same as the black fine line.

Middle: White base, let it dry. Same with the red base, except use teal. Use the black fine line to make cross sections and the center line.

Ring: White base, let it dry. Same with the red base, use the green base for the other half and the black fine line for the center line. Use the red and yellow fine line to make dots as shown.

Pinky: Black base, let it dry. Draw line streaks in the order for yellow, red, yellow at the top and do the same technique as the black fine line for the center, except with a yellow. Good Luck and Have Fun ♥

Mini Red Tartan with White Accents

Materials:
- Red/Crimson Base Coat
- White Fine Line
- Foundation Sponge & Paper
- Rhinestones (Optional)

How To:
Apply red base coat and wait till it dries. Pour a fair amount of crimson nail lacquer on the paper and using a foundation sponge, dab the color on the tips of your nails. You’re trying to create a transition. Using a white fine line, create 2 pairs of lines parallel to each other, 1 pair going from side to side and another from top to bottom. Apply dots randomly on the extra space to have more “attraction”. Optional: Glue a rhinestone with the same color gradient as the red coat where the two pairs of parallel lines connect. Good Luck and Have Fun <3 P.S. My white is slowly turning really thick…it’s so ugly now, I need to go buy a new one -.- I’m so stupid because I tried to clean the brush with nail polish remover and I never dried it, so I ended up putting the brush back into the lacquer and now it turned out like that @__@. Don’t pull a Karen, lol

Psychedelic Easter

Materials:
- Any 5 Bright Base Coat/Glitter Coat
- Light Blue Fine Line
- French Polish Guides

How To:
Thumb - Using a light blue fine line, draw lines to separate the colors (I used the theme of the colors being trapped in boxes). Color in each space with a different color.

Fore Finger - Apply the coats first in any order you want. Start from left to right and avoid touching one color with the other. I used a French Polish Guide to help, so if you have any of those I recommend using them. Separate them with the light blue fine line after. Apply Glitter Coat to finish it off.

Middle Finger - Randomly dot each color 3 times on the nail and dot the light blue in the middle of each dotted base coat. Apply Glitter Coat to finish it off.

Ring Finger - Using a French Polish Guide, place it in the center of the nail. Stroke once with 4 colors on one side of the guide and on the other, reverse the colors so it has a “Diagonal mirror” effect. The 5th color will be used in replace of the Polish Guide once you take the Guide out. Once again, separate the colors using light blue fine line. Apply Glitter Coat to finish it off.

Pinky - Dot different colours for different petals. Using light blue fine line, start at the center and round the line as you move further away. You’re basically “hugging” each petal. Apply Glitter Coat to finish it off. Good Luck and Have Fun <3
